Snug Harbor Palm Beach Gardens Christmas Lights

Turn on holiday music in the car and take a drive to a fairyland of outdoor light displays throughout South Florida. You can see Christmas lights in Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach counties – and, in some cases, you won't event have to leave your car.

We're lucky that we have a nice mix of public and private displays planned for this holiday season.

PLEASE NOTE: Some displays from previous years are yet to be confirmed at the moment. You'll find those listings at the bottom of this roundup. We will continue to update this post as more information becomes available – so be sure to keep checking back! HOLIDAY LIGHTS DISPLAYS FOR 2021

Miami-Dade County

The Shops at Merrick Park (358 San Lorenzo Ave.) – Head to the Shops at Merrick Park for the 18th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 23, starting at 6 p.m. After that, shoppers can view and pose with the holiday tree through early January 2022. Free.

Zoo Lights at Zoo Miami (12400 SW 152nd St.) – Some resident "animals" at Zoo Miami get a holiday sprucing up during the Zoo Lights annual event. The event runs Nov. 26-Dec. 30, 2021. Click here for admission details.

Deering Estate (16701 SW 72 Ave.) – The grand estate features its very own "Historic Holiday Decor: Gilded Age," with decorations throughout the various rooms transporting visitors to the glamor and elegance of the Gilded Age. This display will be available from Nov. 26, 2021, through Jan. 6, 2022. The Holiday Decor is included with estate admission: $15 for adults and $7 for children (ages 4-14). Admission is free for Deering Estate Foundation Members and children under 4 years old. Click here to buy in advance.

Pinecrest Gardens Nights of Lights (11000 SW 57th Ave.) – The gardens come alive with glittering and larger-than-life light installations during the holidays, with the gardens open from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10, 2021, through Jan. 2, 2022. Admission is $15 for children under 18 and $20 for adults 18+.

Light up the Night at CityPlace Doral (8300 NW 36th St.) – Every night from 7-11 p.m., at the top of the hour, the holiday fountain show lights up the outdoor shopping and entertainment venue. Enjoy the views from Nov. 19-Dec. 31, 2021. Free.

Riverside Holiday Village at The Wharf Miami (114 SW North River Drive) – Celebrate the holidays in a very Miami fashion at The Wharf Miami, with 500,000 lights expected, plus oversized decorations, holiday cocktails and more! Every Thursday-Sunday from Dec. 2-26, 2021. Free.

Magic of Lights Homestead (One Ralph Sanchez Speedway Blvd.) – This magical holiday drive-thru experience is coming to the Homestead Speedway every night starting Nov. 19 to Jan. 1 from 6-10 p.m. Standard vehicle pricing will start at $20 from Nov. 19 to Dec. 9 and will increase to $25 from Dec. 10 to Jan. 1.

Christmas on Commodore: (Commodore Plaza, Coconut Grove) – This fun, free, family event in Coconut Grove encourages guests to shop the small businesses for all of their holiday gifts. While you're there, make sure to stay for the lighting of the tropical themed Christmas tree. The fun is happening on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 6-8 p.m. Free.

Homes With Holiday Light Displays in Miami

Pedroso Holiday Display (6140 SW 46 Terrace) – Visit this family home in Miami-Dade where passersby can walk through an inflatable pathway on one side of house and look at festive figurines, misfit toys, Rudolph, Elf on Shelf, and Disney decorations. Lights turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise and inflatables are always inflated!

Broward County

Symphony of Lights

Entertaining and festive, Symphony of Lights is a free outdoor light show.  It's on display at Gulfstream Park Village, an open-air shopping, dining and entertainment plaza in Hallandale. The dynamic light display, every hour on the hour 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. November 13-December 31, dances to holiday music. The display features over 250,000 LED lights, animated to favorite tunes from Trans-Siberian Orchestra and other artists.  Gulfstream Park, 901 S. Water Taxi Holiday Lights

Water Taxi offers holiday lights excursions on The  Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. Reservations and payment online are required.  Adult fares are $35. For kids 3 – 11, the price is $15. Order tickets online.

Flamingo Gardens

Flamingo Gardens is offering evening events featuring a holiday lights display. Garden of Lights events are 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. December 17 & 18, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. December 19-23 & December 26-30 at Flamingo Gardens.

Entry fees apply.

  • The evening lights event is included with regular entry fee paid during the day for Flamingo Gardens
  • For the evening event only, fee is $12.95 for ages 12 & older, $9.95 for ages 3-11, & free for 2 & younger. Free for members. Online purchase recommended.

  • Bayfront Park (301 Biscayne Blvd.) – Behold its majestic tree and towering downtown skyscrapers.
  • Brickell CityCentre (701 S. Miami Ave.) – Featuring Santa's post office display, decorative trees, lights and holiday decorations.

Miami Beach

  • Lincoln Road (Alton Road to Ocean Drive) – Check out the giant Christmas tree and plenty of lights and decorations throughout this "roadway." The tree lighting ceremony is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 27 – plus each night, starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 10, a light will be lit on the seashell Menorah commemorating the eight nights of Hannukah.

North Miami

  • MOCA Plaza (770 NE 125th St.) – A giant Christmas tree and dangling lights add to the festive atmosphere in Downtown North Miami.

Key Biscayne

  • Bright Lights Miami at Virginia Key Beach (4020 Virginia Beach Drive, Key Biscayne) – Drive-in, drive-thru sound and light festival with immersive lights and laser show, projection mapping, art installation and music. Nightly from 6-8 p.m. and 9-11 p.m. through Jan. 10, 2021.

Hialeah

  • Christmas Night Laser Show at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah (401 E. 65th St.) – Drive-in laser light and holiday music show presented by Electric Holiday Miami. Vehicles will be placed in their own socially distanced pods where they can place chairs in front of their cars. Facial coverings will be required. Cars will be tuned to FM stations to hear the show. Dec. 25 at 8 and 10 p.m. (pre-shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.; Dec. 26 at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. (pre-shows at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.) Tickets are $55 per car, $80 for VIP for front two rows and a goodie bag. Homes With Holiday Light Displays in Miami

Enchanted Place of North Miami, at 1600 NE 137th Terrace in North Miami, is not just one house but one entire cul-de-sac. Neighbors get together to light up the tree canopy area and welcome the holiday cheer. See the lights from 6-11 p.m. through Jan. 6.

Leon and April Wegman: 1900 S. Hibiscus Drive, North Miami. Frosty the Snowman sits on the roof in a hot-air balloon, there's a life-size Santa and the boat in the backyard canal is festooned with lights.

14665 Fitzpatrick Road, Miami Lakes. Decorated in the front and back, this stunning light display was nominated as a neighborhood favorite in Miami Lakes. Santa and his reindeer fly through the air and thousands of twinkle lights are in the trees. From Miami Lakes Drive, you can see the house's lights reflected in the lake.

The Froberg Residence: 1840 Keystone Blvd., North Miami. This family of three is back to decorating their yard and house for the community. You can see colorful Christmas trees of different sizes, decorated wreaths, a laser show, and glittering icicles.

510 Hunting Lodge Dr., Miami Springs:Elaborate holiday display with hundreds of lights across the front yard, a variety of Nativity scenes and reindeer.

Morningside 57 St. Holiday Light Spectacle:Cruise down NE 57 St. in the Morningside neighborhood east of Biscayne Blvd. to see two blocks of holiday lights including 42 trees all decked out in colorful holiday displays. More than 130,000 lights. See them nightly from 6-11 p.m. through Jan. 7.
